EFAS offers the official certification program set by the BC Construction Safety Alliance (BCCSA).

The BCCSA’s course for TCPs consists of classroom & practical training and is the only program accepted by WorkSafe BC under Section 18 of the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation for high-risk traffic control.

• Regulations & standards, including those set out by the Ministry of Transportation, WorkSafeBC & the Motor Vehicle Act
• Traffic control equipment & devices, including personal protective equipment
• Setting up, maintaining & removing work zones
• Working around equipment
• Basic & advanced traffic control skills

• Photo identification
• CSA approved steel-toed boots with a minimum 6-inch ankle protection
• High Visible Vest (Must be Class 2)
• High Visible Hard Hat
  • Hard hats shall be of a high-visibility colour with a band of retroreflective tape across the top from front to back and on the sides.  WorkSafeBC permits fluorescent yellow-green, fluorescent orange-red, and fluorescent red colours.  The hard hat shall have retroreflective material across the top from front to back and on the sides to make it clearly visible to drivers approaching from any angle
