What Does it Mean to be CSA Approved?
In order for a safety product to be CSA approved, it has to pass a series of rigorous tests under various conditions to applicable standards. CSA approved safety products are widely accepted by many government and code officials, regulatory and regulation bodies, leading retailers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).
The standards to which products are tested include standards written or administered by a range of North American and global organizations. Many of the standards products are tested to also fall under the CSA’s Occupational Health and Safety program, which deals with areas like management systems, work practices, machinery and equipment, personal protection equipment, and lifting and hoisting.
